Co-founders Mike and Nan Kirkpatrick are legends in the fly-fishing world—Mike has been guiding for over 40 years and has gained worldwide recognition through his YouTube videos. Nan is an incredible business mind, always pushing the envelope in terms of marketing and progression.

After creating the first prototypes of our Backcountry Skinz wet wading leggings, we couldn’t think of a better team to test them than Mike and Nan. With New Zealanders being known for their love of leggings and board shorts while wet wading, we knew their input would be invaluable.

Once we sent our initial gear, we anxiously awaited Mike’s review. When we received feedback, it was clear: our design was on the right track, but we needed to make a few tweaks. With their guidance, we went back to the drawing board, ultimately crafting the perfect, game-changing wet wading pants.
